Hey, I am Natalie.
I am 54. I have spent over two decades in fat loss, fitness, and nutrition. And I have also been through the ringer.
Here is something most people do not know about me. I did not get dealt great genetics. My dad died of a heart attack at 49. Heart disease runs in my family. So does cancer. So does obesity. So does Alzheimer's. So does diabetes. Pretty much every "this is what is going to come for you" diagnosis you can think of, I have it on the family tree. I have had to work really hard to learn, to understand, and to not let any of that become my destiny.
On top of that, I have two autoimmune conditions. I had a lot of injuries in my late 40s and early 50s. I ruptured a disc in my back and had a disc replacement. I tore my bicep. I have had several surgeries, including a breast explant. I am post menopause now, and I went through every bit of it. The hot flashes. The night sweats. Low thyroid. Low libido. Moody. Grumpy. Foggy headed. Looking in the mirror not recognizing the woman looking back.
And right when I needed my own toolbox the most, the things I thought I knew stopped working for me.
It was not just "work harder and eat less." There are a lot of amazing tools out there, and I am not against any of them. But there is a bigger problem nobody is talking about.
I had to figure this out, for myself first. I went deep. I asked everything. I tested everything. I rebuilt my own foundation from the ground up.
